“I believe that listening well is key to settling disputes.”
You will find me to be very down to earth!
In my working life I have handled many disputes such as disciplinary, grievance and appeals.
Subjects have included bullying and harassment, performance management, absenteeism as well as conduct issues.
My 28 years of working in fast paced commercial environments have presented me with a huge variety of challenges and many different roles. This experience and my accredited training have shaped the professional mediation I bring to my clients today.
Positive Resolution Founder, Director & Accredited Civil & Commercial Mediator
About The Positive Resolution ApproachWhat makes our methodology so effective?
What can you expect when you choose to work with Positive Resolution?
I am very quick to respond to your needs and flexible with timings and locations.
I can offer you a complimentary call to start with so we can understand all of your thoughts and clarify any questions.
I am happy to do this with clients directly or a solicitor if they are involved.
If we decide that mediation is the way forward then I will explain the process to you and also arrange for an agreement to be sent to you for signature in advance of the actual mediation meeting.
Of course, the goal is to achieve a settlement however if this does not happen, then I am happy to follow up with clients a few days after the mediation. These calls will be complimentary.
Fees can be discussed in more detail when we speak, but in general I will quote a day rate for each party depending on the potential value of the dispute.
This cost will be for 7 hours, usually 10am – 5pm and includes my time for preparation work. If the mediation goes over 5pm then there will be an overtime cost.
I have Professional Liability Insurance and will be glad to provide a copy of the details on request.
What is Mediation?
Mediation is another way of settling disputes without going to court.
The process is one that the parties enter into on a purely voluntary basis with the ideal outcome to reach a settlement.
The mediator is completely confidential. They will not disclose anything to either party unless specifically asked to do so. They are neutral in this process and will help the parties to reach a settlement between them.
During the mediation usually a joint meeting of the parties is held followed be a number of private meetings as needed.
Mediation is a cost effective and timely way to resolve disputes.
